A few things to know.

Plans, editing and the details that matter.

Is worksheet creation free?

Creating worksheets and using AI actions requires Professional. The question bank and exam paper builder are available on all plans; existing editing and export workflows do not require Professional.

Can I start from an RPH lesson?

Yes. Use the worksheet action on an RPH lesson to open Kertas with that lesson context, then review and adapt the material.

Is this a ready-made worksheet collection?

The sample illustrates a practice activity. Kertas is a tool for creating and editing materials; this page is not a collection verified for every year group or curriculum standard.

Choose the workflow for your material

Worksheets and Exam Papers serve different purposes in Kertas. Choose Worksheets when you want to combine instructions, answer spaces, activities and diagrams in a practice task. To select questions from a bank and assemble UASA exam sets, use the Exam Papers workflow, which is available on every plan.

This is a public overview. The main button opens your worksheet list in the application, rather than a public document collection. Use your existing tecertools account when asked to sign in. Private documents are not listed on this overview, and the sample above contains no pupil information.

Build activities around the skill you want to see

Begin with one clear skill. For addition without regrouping, choose numbers that let pupils show their method easily. This sample uses 23 + 14 and 36 + 12, then asks pupils to compare the results. Its final word problem checks whether pupils understand the operation in a short, familiar context.

Kertas provides blocks such as text, questions, calculations, matching, classification and visual activities. Choose blocks for the pupil task rather than filling every space on the page. For pupils who need support, use short instructions, fewer items and more working space. For extension work, add a question asking for a reason or an example of their own.

Review AI suggestions before using them

AI can help suggest questions and worksheet content. Specify the topic, skill and language without entering pupil names, identification numbers or sensitive information. Read the proposed material before accepting it: instructions need to be practical, facts need to be correct and questions need to match the learning objective.

Work through the questions yourself as well as checking the key, especially when units, fractions or diagrams are involved. If a question has several reasonable answers, clarify the instructions or describe acceptable responses. After rearranging content, check that each answer-key label still refers to the intended question.

Add diagrams and room to think

Use Figura to prepare editable diagrams such as number lines, Lewis structures or atom models. Copy a diagram image into suitable teaching material, or use the worksheet insertion action for supported workflows. Check its size and labels afterwards: a diagram that looks clear on a large screen may be too small on paper.

Give pupils enough answer space for the response you want. A calculation may need several lines of working, while an explanation needs room for complete sentences. Avoid squeezing too many activities onto one page. Read a printout at its actual size, including question numbers, mathematical symbols and writing lines.

Prepare a pupil version and a teacher key

Review the document before printing or exporting a PDF. Kertas also offers Word export; Word layout can differ because the software opening the file paginates the document again. If you edit an exported Word file, recheck page breaks, diagrams and the relationship between questions and answers.

Review the answer key separately from the pupil worksheet. For this sample the answers are 37, 48, the < sign, and 38 pencils. Check that the key is not accidentally included in the pupil copy. Keep a reviewed version so that the material distributed to the class matches the version you intended to use.
