How to Fill MOEIS Attendance Automatically

4 min readLast updated: 19 July 2026

Paste the absence list from your class WhatsApp or Telegram, and let the Chrome extension match student names before filling in MOEIS.

The real problem: from a WhatsApp message to the official form

Student absences usually reach the teacher as text — a WhatsApp message from a parent, or a list collected by the class monitor on Telegram. From there, the teacher has to read the names one by one, find the matching names in the MOEIS class list, and pick the absence category and reason by hand. This repeats on almost every school day.

The fix: TecerTools Attendance

TecerTools Attendance is a free Chrome Extension that matches the names in the text you paste against the student list on the MOEIS page, then fills in the attendance category and reason.

  1. 1

    Copy the absence text

Copy the list of absent students from your class WhatsApp/Telegram messages — no special format needed.

  2. 2

    Paste and click Analisis (Analyse)

Open the MOEIS page, paste the text into the extension popup and click Analyse. The extension matches each name against the student list detected on the page.

  3. 3

    Review uncertain matches

Names that do not match clearly (different spelling, short names, etc.) are flagged for you to review — not guessed and filled in silently.

  4. 4

    Confirm and fill

After review, the extension fills in the absence category and reason on the MOEIS form for the confirmed students.

When you click Analyse, the absence text is sent for AI-assisted name matching. The Free tab (with its weekly limit) does not send student data when checking the limit. Full details, including the disclosure about AI-assisted name matching, are in the Attendance Extension Privacy Policy.

Two tabs, two needs

  • Free — analysis and name matching with a weekly limit, no tecertools.my account.
  • PRO import — pull class records straight from your tecertools.my account for a repeatable workflow; requires login.

A dedicated tab for Exams & PDPR

Besides daily attendance, the extension also has a separate tab for bulk selection of attendance categories during exam season or PDPR — situations where many students need to be marked with the same category at once.

This does not replace MOEIS

Like TecerTools PBD, this extension is a third-party tool that speeds up entry on the existing MOEIS form — it is not an official KPM system and does not replace the teacher’s responsibility to check accuracy before submitting.

Necessary storage (including the record of this setting) is always on because the site does not work without it. Analytics is optional.
