Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using tecertools in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Service Description

tecertools is a web application that helps Malaysian schoolteachers manage schedules, teaching records (RPM), attendance, grades, book inspections, project evidence, and reports. The service is provided under the Member (free), Fellow, and Professional plans described on the Pricing page.

tecertools’ Public Beta has ended. Teachers who registered during Public Beta received a four-month free benefit after launch as a historical benefit — this benefit is not reset and does not extend to registrations made after the beta ended.

Features, pricing, and usage limits may change from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice before any major change to current pricing.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate profile information (e.g. name, school, position) so that record-keeping and reporting features work correctly.
• tecertools is built for use by qualified teachers. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use tecertools for unlawful purposes, to upload student data without lawful authorization, to attempt to access other users' accounts, or to disrupt normal service operation (e.g. automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks).

5. Intellectual Property

The tecertools code, design, and brand are the property of its developer. Data you enter (student records, grades, notes) remains yours and/or your school's — tecertools only stores and displays it on your behalf.

6. Data and Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect personal data is explained in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

7. Limitation of Liability

tecertools is provided "as is" without express or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, tecertools is not liable for any data loss, service interruption, or indirect losses arising from use of this service. You are encouraged to periodically export/keep copies of important records.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the Account page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with email notice where reasonably practicable.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
