01Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using tecertools in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

02Service Description

tecertools is a web application that helps Malaysian schoolteachers manage schedules, teaching records (RPM), attendance, grades, book inspections, project evidence, and reports. The service is provided under the Member (free), Fellow, and Professional plans described on the Pricing page.

tecertools’ Public Beta has ended. Teachers who registered during Public Beta received a four-month free benefit after launch as a historical benefit — this benefit is not reset and does not extend to registrations made after the beta ended.

Features, pricing, and usage limits may change from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice before any major change to current pricing.

03User Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate profile information (e.g. name, school, position) so that record-keeping and reporting features work correctly.
• tecertools is built for use by qualified teachers. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these terms.
• Retention offer: when you choose to cancel your subscription, we may offer a one-time discount on your next invoice or renewal. The offer is once per account, has no cash value, cannot be combined with another discount and is not a refund. Accepting it does not change the refund terms above.

04Subscriptions, Payment and Cancellation

• Fellow and Professional plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period and your payment method is charged at the current price until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in Settings > Subscription (Tetapan > Langganan). Cancelling stops the next renewal; paid access continues until the end of the period already paid for, after which the account returns to the Member plan. Your data is not deleted: every class and record stays viewable, and on the Member plan you can keep updating up to 3 classes of your choice.
• Upgrades take effect immediately; the value of the remaining days on your current plan is deducted from the charge for the new plan. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. This deduction only applies to the upgrade charge and is not paid out as a refund.
• All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partially used periods, mid-period cancellation, or plan changes. This does not affect any rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries for several days. If it still fails, the subscription is cancelled and the account returns to the Member plan.
• Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately, without a refund.
• Referral credit: when a colleague you invited makes their first payment, you receive a credit of one month of your plan (up to 12 months a year). The credit has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and is not refundable. The credit is withdrawn if that colleague’s first payment is refunded. We may refuse or withdraw a credit if we find abuse, including accounts you created yourself or accounts that share the same payment card.
• Promotional prices (for example Teachers’ Day) are for new buyers only and for the first year only; later years are charged at the current price.

05Acceptable Use

You agree not to use tecertools for unlawful purposes, to upload student data without lawful authorization, to attempt to access other users' accounts, or to disrupt normal service operation (e.g. automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks).

06Intellectual Property

The tecertools code, design, and brand are the property of its developer. Data you enter (student records, grades, notes) remains yours and/or your school's — tecertools only stores and displays it on your behalf.

07Data and Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect personal data is explained in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

08Limitation of Liability

tecertools is provided "as is" without express or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, tecertools is not liable for any data loss, service interruption, or indirect losses arising from use of this service. You are encouraged to periodically export/keep copies of important records.

09Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings > Privacy & Data (Tetapan > Privasi & Data); any paid subscription is cancelled immediately, without a refund. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with email notice where reasonably practicable.

10Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.

11Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
